Interested in spicing things up with a swinger lifestyle? If the swinger's life is the life for you, then you've probably heard of the site SwingerLifestyle.Com. With a name like that, they're bound to be your first search result when you type 'swingers' life style' or 'swinger lifestyle' into your browser. But can you actually find people to have sex with, or is this website yet another scam mocking the whole swinging experience?
Curiosity in tow, I dove into this site to see how many members were really looking to swing. This isn't some autoplay-comments situation. I went to research anything and everything others have said about this swinger lifestyle website - right down to whether the site had any professional partners promoting the brand, like swinger clubs.
Couples and solo people alike, look alive. What I learned about the site's version of the swingers' lifestyle may surprise you.
I've gotta be honest, this site doesn't look like the slick and snazzy gem I'd expect to showcase the epitome of swinging lifestyles. While the swinger lifestyle has a lot to do with community, you'd also hope it wouldn't look like the work of a mid-2000s blogger, right? Prepare to be disappointed. With an interface that looks something like sites that had their last activity sometime in 2007, I had some concern about its legitimacy from the get-go.
It's a fact: everyone questions shoddy work-manship - and the site has a quality problem. Still, I had courage, and decided to keep exploring this tool supposedly for partner swapping and swinger lifestyles. It was bad enough to make me want to visit my favorite YouTubers with their contemporary video formats and enable autoplay. Comments from folks in the swinging lifestyle, however, convinced me to fork over my email address, sign up, and see what this site had to offer couples.
Clearing my head, I took a better look at the homepage. Sure, it was dated, but I was hopeful; maybe they'd have clips with quality video formats featuring a hot wife at a party, or something.
The buttons along the top banner promised the prospect of plenty of fun, with a string of exciting offerings for people revolving around the lifestyle:
Curious about them all, I started clicking around. Swinger Magazine sounded like something a couple could read to spice up their relationship, right? Expecting articles on affairs, threesomes, upping your game, or the thrills of a dinner-turned-orgy, I was met with a variety of decent articles...from 2015.
The reading included a list of factoids or reflections on feelings or the nature of an affair, but not updating a link for over five years feels like a story from a forgotten world, another time. If you want people to trust you, update the links, people! All other buttons along the top were similarly outdated, with no categories or swinger lifestyle sections that the woman or man working as admin regularly maintained. Like a ghost town, no one had updated this swingers' club in far too long. I half-expected autoplay-comments from spammers below each old article, the kind with sketchy links that have nothing to do with the swinger lifestyle.
The only new content? The front page had a center section with links to recent articles, but there was no direct button leading you to them. But at the very least, the more current content as a whole helped me get the sense that there was at least some live action in this strange place.
Discouraged, I wanted to click out of this swinger lifestyle website and look for something with contemporary video formats or flashy decor. On the other hand, I was committed to gathering information for the hundreds and thousands of people who might be curious about the risk or reward someone might encounter from exploring this swinging lifestyle website.
Dedicated to the thought of all you people having killer sex and fun partners, I drudged past the autoplay comments, ignored my yearning for higher video formats, and created an account - and that's when everything changed.
Signup was easy. Most hookup websites ask for any number of personal tidbits, picking apart your privacy and breaking boundaries all to 'connect females and males' looking for a good time. You know, the kind of site with ads for cheating, and whose greedy attitudes about sexuality usually end up causing a divorce.
There was none of that on this site. Instead, it was all about tailored experiences, and clear personal rules about what people are looking for from sex in the swinger lifestyle. I started filling out the basics, and then got to answer specifics about my fantasies with couples or other partners in the swinging lifestyle straight away. There were a few autoplay-comments-style answers to choose from with each question, but it was clear at this point that the website makers had a passion for helping open relationships and marriages thrive.
The first question the site asks cuts straight to the heart of it: 'Do you like to watch?' You can choose 'definitely,' 'yes,' 'maybe,' 'a little,' and 'no.' With details like these, who needs fancy video formats? This opening survey is neither exhaustive nor open to creative interpretation, but hey - I'll bubble in any form you want if it gets me involved in the lifestyle, right? Plus, they have a character minimum in the bio section, which is so genius for keeping those autoplay comments at bay that the site should really copyright that idea (or at least slap 'all rights reserved' on the end).
After that, my profile was pending approval after a real human reviewed my answers - yet another way to keep autoplay comments and scams at bay. For the swinger lifestyle, this site was looking better and better.
When it came time to actually play, I realized that, like all sites, there was a bit of pressure to pay for an upgrade. As it stands, not everything is free. Amateurs and others in the swinger lifestyle have to pay up to access all the features, including exchanging private pictures, video chat (with various video formats), starting your own clubs, having profile pictures, and nudity on your profile.
Premium costs break down like this:
Still, keep in mind that you get a lot for free. Anyone looking to find parties, make friends, hook up with men and women, and enter the high society of the swinger lifestyle can do so without throwing down a dime. Sure, you don't get the fancy bells and whistles of Zoom-style video formats for chatting, but one thing I'll never complain about? Free access to sex clubs and all types of group sex activities. To play, all you need is a car to take you to the next party.
I love how thorough the site is. The autoplay-comments you get on other dating sites never came - no spam here, just authentic humans across the states looking for sex, a drinking buddy, and some spicy music to grind on honeys to.
Once you create your profile, you can browse and meet other poly families, a single person to grab a drink with, or someone to swap a sexy picture with while you wait for their reply to your message. But all that wasn't my favorite thing. Instead, I was in love with this list of events that this dating organization let a girl browse through. Find sex rooms and clubs, sexy nights as the movies, or any kind of event you can imagine, all there. All you gotta do is sort by state.
With such an interesting blend of seasoned and fresh swingers, too, it seems simple to find teachers who'll show you the way. And as far as internet hookup communities go, it was so refreshing to find one that gave some goodies away for free and was dedicated to us getting some.
The most fun thing of all? They partner with Topless Travel, a lifestyle cruise line that takes you on luxury adventures around Europe more than four times a year. Bottomless buffets of food and honeys? How can you beat that?
It's a little dated, and hey, people here may not give you spammy autoplay comments to filter through, but you also won't find fancy video formats or remote chat options for couples to play with other people and have sex on camera or away from the clubs for free.
But my biggest problem about this site is that it's literally only for people in a straight marriage. Studies these days have shown us that one in ten people in the United States of America aren't totally straight, so why would the swinger lifestyle fail to acknowledge same-sex attraction? If you're in a couple, you have to answer all these intimate levels of detail about your body type and appearance, and they only give you the option to fill this out for a male and female partner - they don't even ask for you to identify your gender identity.
Out of all the issues I took with this site, this is number one, hands down. The knowledge that the numbers of LGBTQ people are only increasing as our country gets less homophobic makes it a subject that a site like this can't ignore. If you preach openness and the ability to live our own lives, then why pretend that the swinger lifestyle is only for straight folks?
Of course, all these things - from the lack of video formats or good layout to the homophobia - can all be chalked up to one thing: the category of individuals using this site. As I looked around, it became clear that the site was only geared towards an older demographic. While that isn't a con by any means, it can be a turnoff for a millennial husband and non-binary spouse looking for places to meet other couples to play with, host parties for, or explore poly travel resorts with. This age gap became obvious when I read their old article from 2014 marveling that college students and 'younger' people are getting into the lifestyle through this site. With homophobic policies in place, they won't have many young people joining anytime soon.
Bring some condoms, set up communication with your partner about jealousy, fantasies, and any fear lingering in your body, and have fun! While this site doesn't cater to singles or couples in their twenties, a certain, more seasoned demographic in our population will find every reason to join the conventions, meet their neighbors, and explore communities in the swinger lifestyle.
Meeting sex partners and broadening your poly family is all part of this site's big goals. If older and straight are the fields of available lovers you want to meet, then put on your sexiest clothes and make a little room on your laptop to start exploring the big world the lifestyle has to offer you. If you're queer - still browse the link to events above. They feature many LGBTQ nights that you can search by state.
Remember to be one of the good ones out there: reduce STI transmission, get tested regularly, practice safe sex, and talk to your spouses about each and every choice you make (together and separately) in the bed.
